Book itPhoenix, AZ · In-house AWD dyno · ECU tuning
Cobb, HP Tuners and custom calibration on an all-wheel-drive dyno that lives in our building. Every tune leaves with a printed sheet and a road test in Phoenix heat.

01 — Why people drive across the Valley

An all-wheel-drive dyno in a climate-controlled bay. We baseline on it, tune on it, verify on it and print the sheet before you leave. Nothing is estimated.
The person who installs your turbo is in the room when it gets calibrated. No emailing a file to someone who has never heard your car idle.
Phoenix summers hit 115°F. We datalog in it, pull timing where it matters and leave the margin your engine needs to survive August.
02 — The dyno
A customer's Stage 2 build on our rollers. SAE corrected, 98°F ambient, pump 91 with a flex blend. The numbers below are from the sheet.

03 — Services
Flat prices where the job is predictable. Installs are quoted per car after we look at it, in writing, before a wrench comes out.

Swipe sideways
They found a boost leak two other shops missed, fixed it, then tuned the car the same day. The sheet said 71 more wheel horsepower. The seat said more.
06 — Reviews
★★★★★
Stage 1 on 91 and the car finally drives like it should. They walked me through the datalog line by line and did not push parts I did not need.
★★★★★
Supercharger install plus tune. They quoted a number, hit the number, on the date they said. 612 whp on E85 and it idles like stock.
★★★★★
Track prep before a weekend at Arizona Motorsports Park. They caught a cracked pad backing plate I would never have seen. Alignment held all weekend.
★★★★★
Drove up from Tucson for the E85 tune. Three maps, flex fuel sensor wired cleanly, and a sheet for each blend. Worth the drive twice over.
07 — The crew

Owner, lead calibrator
Fourteen years of ECU work, Cobb Protuner and HP Tuners certified. Still writes every E85 map himself.

Dyno operator, fabrication
Runs the dyno and welds the exhausts. Built the shop's test mule, a 600 whp Evo IX that still passes emissions.

Suspension and alignment
Corner weights and track alignments for the Valley's weekend racers. Sets up a dozen cars before every big event.

Service advisor
First voice on the phone, writes every quote. Will tell you when a part is not worth your money.
08 — Questions
A flash can be detected by the dealer, and most will deny a powertrain claim tied to it. We tell you the risk for your specific car before you commit. Cobb Accessport cars can be returned to the stock map for service visits.
At least half a tank of the fuel you plan to tune on, no warning lights, tires with tread and lug nuts torqued. Allow ninety minutes door to door.
Yes, as long as we can see the hardware. We do a pre-tune inspection and a baseline pull first. If something is wrong, we stop and call you before we go further.
Yes. There is a window into the dyno bay and chairs in the lobby. We walk you through the sheet afterward and send the datalog by email.
Phoenix pumps are 91. We tune for 91 by default and can add a 93 or E85 map if you have a reliable source. Running a 93 map on 91 is how engines get hurt, so we do not load one without asking.
No. Gas cars and trucks only, 1996 and newer. For diesels we will point you to a shop we trust.
